Schwartz & Co. Yacht Sales brings for your consideration "NAMASTE".
Whether it’s day sailing or weekend cruising you seek, this Hunter 31 offers upgraded in-boom mainsail furling, comfortable and functional design, and easy handling for new and experienced sailors alike. Her current owner often sailed short-handed and prioritized ease and simplicity of handling and onboard systems. She’s an affordable option for making memories with the family or finding a bit of solace amidst life’s busyness. (And seperate from this listing, the option to rent or buy her slip, located in a prime St. Joseph waterfront marina, she could be just the summer “cottage” you’ve been dreaming of.)
Wide decks, generous cockpit seating, and a spacious, open interior make the Hunter 31 a comfortable day sailor and coastal cruiser. A sloop rig with a roller furling headsail and all of her lines led aft to the cockpit, a recently upgraded (10k) Forespar in-boom mainsail furling system, and a newer North Sails mainsail make sail handling easy and safe from the comfort and security of the cockpit. Self-tailing winches, rope clutches, and an adjustable traveler system are also within easy reach. Namaste is equipped with a 16-hp Yanmar diesel engine, Raymarine wheel-mounted autopilot, onboard battery charger, dual battery banks, and navigational instruments. She features a full galley with an alcohol stove/oven, pressure water, icebox refrigeration, and a water heater. She sleeps 7 in a port side quarter berth, convertible dinette and settee in the saloon, and forward v-berth. Her fin keel and spade rudder provide good maneuverability in harbor and stable performance under sail.
Belowdecks, the main cabin provides a lot of room for a 31-foot vessel and offers 6’3” of headroom in the salon. Just down the companionway steps, a U-shaped galley is located to starboard and a navigation station to port. The galley features a single stainless steel sink with faucet and pressure water. A deep icebox equipped with Adler-Barbour refrigeration is located outboard of the sink and provides adequate access and storage space. A gimbaled, low-maintenance Origo stove/oven is located forward of the icebox. Cooking utensil storage is located in cupboards and under-counter cabinets.
A convertible dinette is located forward of the galley and provides seating for four. The table doubles as an insert to convert the area to a bunk for sleeping. Opposite the dinette, a settee offers seating space as well as another bunk. Additional storage is located in outboard cupboards and well as under the seating areas. Access to the bilge and pump is through removable floorboards in the salon.
The port aft quarter of the vessel (under the cockpit area) houses a berth that will accommodate two adults or double as a storage area. Forward of the salon to starboard, the enclosed head features a traditional manual toilet, a pressure water sink, and storage lockers. Opposite the head, a large locker to port is easily accessible for gear storage. The forward cabin houses a traditional v-berth with storage underneath and a locker to port. A large, opening overhead hatch provides both egress and ventilation.
